Hunter Hoeflicker – Fulton, Missouri

“The most important person in my life is definitely my mom. She taught me how to work hard no matter what and always knew what to do so I mean ya a mom. My brother is pretty important if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t even be into disc golf. My step-dad always knows how to fix something if need be and has taught me the same from what I can remember. I live alone with my two dogs and a cat…”

Welcome to another edition of our Disc Golf Player Profile publication – where we feature disc golfers that you may or may not have heard of before. Everybody has their own disc golf story to tell. This is the place where those stories are being told and shared with the world!

Meet Hunter Hoeflicker (PDGA #249811)

Tell us about yourself! How old are you? Where do you live? What do you do (work/school/etc.)?

A little about me. I’ve always been in some type of sport. I played basketball for 8 years up till senior year of high school and also played baseball and some football. Did weight lifting for three years of high school and grounded hard in that. I’m 21 years old and about to turn 22 in September. I live in Fulton Missouri which is not a bad town to be for some competitive golf. I work at a family owned business named Danuser I assemble post hammers that can weigh up to 1200lbs.

Tell us about the most important people in your life! Who do you live with (family, friends, etc.)?

The most important person in my life is definitely my mom. She taught me how to work hard no matter what and always knew what to do so I mean ya a mom. My brother is pretty important if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t even be into disc golf. My step-dad always knows how to fix something if need be and has taught me the same from what I can remember. I live alone with my two dogs and a cat.

Let’s Play Disc Golf

Do you have any pre-round or post-round rituals that you do when you play disc golf?

Pre round I practice putting from outside circle one and depending on how my arm feels is if I throw some drives.

Do you drink, smoke, snack, or partake in anything else while playing disc golf? What’s your go-to?

I don’t drink or smoke or really anything during a golf round unless it’s water. I play really competitively and want to play to the best of my ability.

Are you just a casual disc golfer? Do you participate in any local leagues? Do you compete in disc golf tournaments?

We have league here at Veterans Park on sundays at 2 pm. I’m there every week and have been playing a ton of tournaments and I’m even signed up for the Mao ams weekend in September.

Do you have any tips for aspiring disc golfers?

Have someone that’s been playing with you help break down your run up or putting and take tons of videos to help with practice.
