Brandon Kemp – Temple, TX

“If I’m not playing disc golf, I’m probably playing video games or chasing my kids down. It’s hard to not do disc golf because it’s a passion…I’ve yet to get an ace, I’m hopeful! I almost got an ace at our local 5th street course. I splashed out and my heart sank, but I keep trying. I’ve done plenty of tombstones, that just stick right out of the ground. Those are oddly satisfying if you ask me...

Welcome to another edition of our Disc Golf Player Profile publication – where we feature disc golfers that you may or may not have heard of before. Everybody has their own disc golf story to tell. This is the place where those stories are being told and shared with the world!

Meet Brandon Kemp (PDGA #255575)

Tell us about yourself! How old are you? Where do you live? What do you do (work/school/etc.)?

I am 27. I live in Temple, TX in our lovely red brick home. I am a youth pastor a local church in our area.

Tell us about the most important people in your life! Who do you live with (family, friends, etc.)?

The most important people are obviously my family, my main posse is definitely my wife and two kids. We have a son and a daughter.

Do you have a nickname or just something else that you go by?

My nickname is kind of funny/maybe TMI. My nickname is nips. I regretfully wore only a thin under amour shirt on a cold night to ultimate frisbee practice and it showed, hence the nickname. I’ve just kept it ever since.
