Disc Golf Journey
How long have you been playing disc golf?
First threw a disc back in 1995 or so, but started playing tournaments in 2008, I think.
How did you get started with disc golf?
A good buddy of mine took me to our local course, Shady Oaks Disc Golf Course, and gave me a disc.
Share some of your memorable disc golf moments…
A personal favorite moment of mine is probably getting a 4th place finish in one of our local events as I don’t play as much as I would like to these days. However, I enjoyed caddying for Annie Kreml (St. Patrick’s Classic) and Maria Oliva (USWDGC) in the past.

Disc Golf Courses
Do you have a course that you consider your ‘home course’? Tell us about it.
Of course, Shady Oaks Disc Golf Course in Orangevale, CA, is my home course. It used to be a must stop for the pros for the St. Patrick’s Classic back before the DGPT. It has some technical lines to hit as well as some open shots. Learning on this course was great for learning my release point to better be able to hit gaps for wherever I might play.
