Meet Chris Thompson (PDGA #198453)
Tell us about yourself! How old are you? Where do you live? What do you do (work/school/etc.)?
I am 33 years old. I am beginning a brand new career as an accountant. I play the Bass Guitar for my church. When not doing that I am caddying for my wife on the Wildflower Discgolf Tour. And when I have a little spare time I play disc golf.
Tell us about the most important people in your life! Who do you live with (family, friends, etc.)?
My wife and two sons are the most important people in my life.
Do you have a nickname or just something else that you go by?
Nope. You can call me anything, but don’t call me late for dinner.

How long have you been playing disc golf?
I discovered disc golf in 2021 when my oldest wanted to try it. He hated it, i loved it.
How did you get started with disc golf?
I discovered it with my son and fell in love. Got my first Ace within two months of playing, sadly no one was there to witness it. I got my first official Ace while throwing a round with the guy that taught me.

What is the first disc golf disc that you ever owned?
I stupidly purchased a Latitude 64 Royal Grand Rive.
What are some of your favorite discs that are in your bag right now?
Anything from Lat 64’s Royal Grand series.
What else is always in your bag other than discs?
2 Chalk bags.. I’m fat and live in Texas. Those are requirements.

Nope
Do you drink, smoke, snack, or partake in anything else while playing disc golf? What’s your go-to?
No alcohol or tabacco or paraphernalia for me. Water soda and Gatorade. Can’t go wrong with Big Country Beef Jerky either
Are you just a casual disc golfer? Do you participate in any local leagues? Do you compete in disc golf tournaments?
Up until this past Friday, I ran my local league. I have played in 3 tournaments this year and would like to play in a few more.
Do you have any tips for aspiring disc golfers?
Just go throw.

I am friends with many pro disc golfers in Texas.
Do you have any disc golf goals that you are trying to achieve?
I want to make it to NADGT nationals in November
